This policy explains what 7plus (7plus.study) keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. The service is run by Zhubayev Kazybek, Astana, Kazakhstan, who is responsible for your data. Questions: support@7plus.study.
What we keep
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email, your name (as you entered it) and your password (stored only as a secure hash) | To give you an account and sign you in |
| Your tests: answers, scores, bands, flags, timing, your writing, your self-marking | To mark your work, let you continue a test, and show your progress |
| Speaking recordings — only on a plan with AI Speaking checks | To transcribe and give feedback; on other plans the recording never leaves your browser |
| AI feedback you asked for, and how many checks you have used | To show it to you and count your monthly checks |
| Words you save, your streak, your settings (theme, text size, contrast) | Features you use |
| A sign-in log: the time and a rough device type (for example "Chrome · Windows") — no IP address | To keep an account to one person and spot shared accounts |
| Your plan: which one, its dates, and the payment provider's subscription and customer ids | To open what you paid for. We never see or store your card details |
| What you write to us by email | To answer you |
We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — our database, sign-in and file storage. Your account and your work are stored with them in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Vercel — runs the website, also in Frankfurt: every page and request passes through their servers.
- Resend — sends the emails the service sends you (confirming your address, resetting your password), from the European Union (Ireland): they receive your email address and the message.
- ImprovMX — forwards what you write to support@7plus.study to our inbox.
- OpenAI — only when you ask for an AI check: the text you wrote (and, for Writing Task 1, the task's chart), or your Speaking recording, is sent to OpenAI to produce the transcript and feedback. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent this way is not used to train their models by default.
- Dodo Payments — when you buy a plan. As merchant of record they collect your payment details, name, email and billing country under their own privacy policy, and tell us whether the payment went through.
These providers process your data only to run their part of the service. Some of them are outside Kazakhstan, so your data is transferred abroad.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We use only what the site needs to work, so there is no cookie banner: a sign-in cookie, your theme choice and whether the menu is collapsed. Your browser's local storage keeps small conveniences, such as where a Listening recording was paused. Nothing is used to track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
Everything above is kept while you have an account. When you delete your account, your account, tests, writing, recordings, feedback, saved words and sign-in log are erased. We keep records of payments (amounts, dates and provider ids, not card details) for as long as accounting and tax law require.
Your rights
- Delete — Account → Profile → Delete my account removes your data straight away, after cancelling any paid plan.
- See or correct — your results, writing and settings are on your pages; change your name in Account → Profile.
- A copy — write to us and we will send you a copy of your data.
- Complain — write to us first; you may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, recordings are kept in private storage, and each person can reach only their own data — the database itself enforces it. No system is perfectly secure; if something happens that affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
The service is for people aged 16 and over, or younger with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on the site or by email before it applies.
